Koutarou Nagiri spends his days working at the delicatessen counter of a local grocery store, preparing meals for passing customers. Among the regulars is Wataru Takano, a dedicated salaryman who consistently seeks out the specific dishes Nagiri prepares. Their routine interactions take an unexpected turn when Takano arrives to find that his favorite meal has completely sold out. Seeing the man's genuine disappointment, Nagiri makes a spontaneous decision and invites him over for dinner. What begins as a simple gesture of goodwill soon transforms into a quiet, intimate ritual. The two men begin sharing meals together, creating a warm and happy dinner table built exclusively for two. Yet, this newfound domestic comfort carries an unspoken sense of impermanence, shadowed by a looming time limit that threatens to end their shared evenings. As they continue to sit across from one another night after night, Nagiri realizes that his feelings are shifting.
