My Roommate is a Cat

Subaru Mikazuki is a reclusive novelist whose life was forever altered by the tragic loss of both his parents in an accident. Consumed by grief, he has retreated into a solitary existence, rarely venturing beyond the walls of his home. For Subaru, human interaction is more than merely uncomfortable; it is a persistent distraction that disrupts the rich inner world where his creativity thrives. He prefers the quiet isolation of his own imagination to the unpredictable demands of other people. His carefully guarded routine is unexpectedly interrupted when he crosses paths with a stray cat named Haru. Rather than viewing the animal as another intrusion, Subaru discovers that the feline sparks something entirely new within him, providing the creative catalyst he needs to begin writing his next novel. As the two settle into life together, their bond deepens in ways neither could have anticipated. Through Haru’s quiet companionship, Subaru’s once-shrunken world begins to open up again. The presence of the cat gently guides him out of his emotional seclusion, helping him rediscover the warmth and connection of family that he had long since left behind.
