Fifteen-year-old Ai endures a bleak existence in a rough neighborhood alongside her alcoholic, promiscuous mother. In stark contrast, fifteen-year-old Jun resides in an elegant mansion where private tutors handle his education and he dedicates his time to studying the violin. Afflicted with a severe congenital heart condition that makes any physical exertion potentially fatal, he never steps outside. For Jun, survival has always demanded strict caution at the expense of human connection. Despite their vastly different circumstances, both teenagers share an overwhelming sense of confinement and loneliness. Their paths unexpectedly cross through a mobile social networking site, sparking a deep bond that quickly evolves into something far more meaningful than friendship.
