Hoshi wo Atsumeru Shounen

Ben, a dedicated professor of biology, has built his career on the principles of scientific observation and empirical evidence. His structured world is disrupted when an acquaintance shares a peculiar rumor about a mysterious creature dwelling in the remote mountains of Sweden—a deer that supposedly possesses six legs. Intrigued by the biological impossibility yet driven by academic curiosity, Ben decides to embark on a journey to the rugged Scandinavian wilderness. His mission is clear: to investigate the claims firsthand and separate verifiable fact from local folklore. Upon arriving in the isolated, snow-swept landscape, Ben’s search for the legendary animal takes an unexpected turn. Instead of merely uncovering zoological anomalies, he crosses paths with an enigmatic young boy living far removed from conventional society. This strange child introduces himself not as a fellow traveler or local resident, but as someone engaged in a profoundly unusual pursuit—claiming that he is collecting the stars. This chance encounter shifts the trajectory of Ben’s expedition entirely. What begins as a straightforward scientific inquiry into a cryptid sighting gradually transforms into something far more introspective. As the pragmatic biologist spends time with the star-gathering boy amidst the quiet Swedish peaks, the boundaries between rational investigation and poetic mystery begin to blur.
