Nejishiki

Nejishiki is a surreal, avant-garde one-shot manga rendered in a distinctive two-color printing style. The narrative draws directly from creator Yoshiharu Tsuge's personal experiences during a journey to Futomi, located in Chiba Prefecture, translating his real-life travels into an abstract and dreamlike visual story. Widely regarded as one of the most famous and significant works in Tsuge's extensive bibliography, this one-shot transcends its medium. Its profound impact extended far beyond the boundaries of the Japanese manga industry, leaving a lasting influence on numerous other artistic and cultural fields.
