Kimi wa Tsukiyo ni Hikarikagayaku

Ever since losing someone deeply important to him, the protagonist has been drifting through life with reckless abandon, completely detached from any sense of purpose. His hollow existence continues into high school until he learns about a classmate named Mamizu Watarase, who has never attended classes due to her prolonged hospitalization. She suffers from a rare terminal condition known as luminescence disease, an illness characterized by a haunting symptom: the afflicted person’s body emits a faint glow when exposed to moonlight. Tragically, this ethereal light grows steadily brighter as the patient draws closer to death. Upon discovering that Mamizu has very little time left, the protagonist also learns that she harbors several unfulfilled wishes she hopes to experience before the end. Moved by her situation, he offers to help her accomplish these final dreams, and she gratefully accepts his unexpected kindness. Through this heartfelt promise between them, the emotional stagnation that had consumed him finally begins to break. As they work together to fulfill her remaining desires, the time that had long stood still for him slowly starts to move forward once again.
