Kigurumi-kun

Every Wednesday, a mysterious figure in an animal costume appears at the local park, cheerfully distributing balloons to children. Yuudai Shimaki, a university student simply trying to get to his part-time job, unexpectedly becomes the recipient of one of these gifts. Though he finds the encounter slightly inconvenient and out of place for someone his age, he feels unable to refuse the costumed man’s earnest offering. What begins as a brief, mildly awkward interaction soon turns into a recurring routine that leaves Shimaki puzzled by the stranger's peculiar fixation on him. The situation takes a surprising turn when Shimaki discovers a small piece of paper attached to one of the balloons. Instead of a playful message meant for a child, the note bears a simple yet deeply personal confession: "I like you." This unexpected revelation completely shifts the dynamic between the busy student and the enigmatic performer. Now, Shimaki must grapple with the realization that the handsome man hiding behind the cheerful mascot suit has been singling him out all along, transforming a mundane weekly walk through the park into the beginning of an unforeseen romantic entanglement.
