The Wilting Light

What awaits beyond the veil of death? For some, it may be a blinding flash followed by eternal silence. For others, it is an entirely unfamiliar realm where breathtaking beauty and incomprehensible horrors exist side by side. General Hwee-un meets his end on the battlefield, carrying the heavy burden of unspoken love and a life left incomplete. Yet instead of fading into nothingness, he opens his eyes to find himself standing in the heart of a mysterious forest. His arrival does not go unnoticed. Almost immediately, malevolent spirits and vicious demons begin hunting him, eager to claim his newly awakened existence. Just as the relentless onslaught threatens to consume him, a strikingly handsome goblin intervenes, sweeping the fallen general away from danger. Hwee-un is brought to a hidden Goblin Village and thrust directly into the royal court of the Goblin King. Forced to navigate this strange, perilous society, the once-proud warrior must adapt to a reality far removed from the battlefields he knew. Whatever mysteries define the afterlife, one truth becomes undeniably clear: for Hwee-un, death was never an ending, but merely the beginning.
