Berserk: Shinen no Kami 2

Berserk: Shinen no Kami 2 is a one-shot centered entirely on an intimate, one-on-one conversation between Griffith and God. Rather than advancing the broader physical conflicts of the series, this unique chapter strips away all external action to focus solely on a profound dialogue between these two figures. The narrative serves as a quiet yet deeply significant exchange, offering rare insight into their dynamic through direct discourse. At the specific request of creator Kentaro Miura, this one-shot was never collected or published in a standard volume format. Miura made the deliberate editorial decision to exclude it from the compiled releases because he believed the conversation revealed far too much critical information about the overarching narrative. He felt that exposing these details so early in the story would prematurely unravel key mysteries, ultimately diminishing the impact of the revelations intended for later arcs. As a result, the chapter remains a fascinating, standalone piece of lore, preserved exactly as Miura envisioned—kept apart from the main volumes to protect the carefully paced unfolding of the epic's deepest secrets.
