Joou no Hana

In an ancient era, the world was fractured into four kingdoms: Sou, Kou, Do, and Ah. Seeking political leverage, the King of Ah married women from both Kou and Do, forging a fragile alliance among three nations. When his second queen bore a son, the king abandoned his frail first wife and her daughter, Princess Aki, banishing them to the forgotten depths of the palace. There, fate intervened when Aki met Hakusei, a slave distinguished by his striking golden hair and sky-blue eyes. Pledging his life to her, Hakusei helped Aki master the Six Arts under the tutelage of a mysterious merchant named Seitetsu. Desperate for her father’s recognition, Aki outshone the young prince during a royal hunt, but her triumph ignited disaster. Her actions insulted the honor of Do, sparking conflict, and drove the jealous second queen to poison Aki’s mother. Stripped of everything except Hakusei’s unwavering loyalty, Aki is exiled to the minor kingdom of Kou. Swearing to one day return and claim vengeance against Ah, she must now navigate a perilous path. With the combined might of Do and Ah looming over them, Aki and Hakusei face impossible odds in their quest for retribution.
