Arata: The Legend

In a realm where humanity and deities exist side by side, Arata is chosen as the successor to the matriarchal Hime Clan. This honor quickly becomes a heavy burden, forcing him to conceal his male identity behind women's clothing while constantly running for his life from those who wish him harm. His desperate struggle takes an unexpected turn when he is suddenly transported to the modern world, inadvertently swapping places with a contemporary boy named Arata Hinohara. Because the two share an identical appearance, Hinohara is immediately thrust into the perilous reality Arata left behind. Surrounded by ruthless, power-hungry warriors intent on claiming his life, the ordinary teenager must navigate a hostile and unfamiliar landscape. As danger closes in from every direction, Hinohara is left to wonder who, if anyone, will step forward to aid him in this deadly foreign world. Ultimately, both boys find themselves trapped in circumstances far beyond their control, proving that bearing the name Arata is anything but easy.
