Beast's Flower

Deep within the secluded expanse of the forest, the villagers whisper cautious warnings about a young woman branded as a witch, allegedly cursed with a repulsive, foul stench. Cast away by her own family and left to survive in an isolated woodland cabin, Lyla has spent her entire life in desolate solitude, resigned to an existence untouched by human warmth. Her isolated routine shatters the night Viorst arrives at her doorstep. When Lyla confronts him about his presence and demands to know why he shows no revulsion toward her, he calmly explains that he completely lacks the ability to sense odors. Unbeknownst to Lyla, however, her visitor is far from ordinary. Viorst is actually a ravenous beast, and rather than being repelled, he has been inexorably drawn to her by a fragrance he finds utterly irresistible.
