Junior-high school student Rei Hoshino, a fujoshi with little interest in the complexities of life, undergoes a transformation when she becomes fascinated with high school student Kei Akai on a rainy day. Determined to attend the same school as him, Rei enlists the help of her childhood friend Shōtarō Kamiyu, who assists her in studying for the entrance examination and adopting a more appealing appearance. However, their plan is soon complicated by Luna Kurotsuki, a scheming student at the same school, who creates obstacles for Rei to get closer to Kei.
