Vairocana

Awakening an ancient monster from four centuries of slumber carries a heavy price—a lesson young Prince Iska of the Szak territory learns too late. Misled into stealing the very katana that had sealed the demon Nue for four hundred years, Iska inadvertently unleashes the creature upon his homeland. The first casualty is his own father, and as if that loss were not enough, Iska himself falls victim to Nue’s accursed power. Now carrying both guilt and a sinister mark, he vows to make amends at any cost. Armed with the stolen blade, he sets out on a perilous journey to the ends of the world, determined to hunt down Nue and exact justice. Legend holds that the only weapon capable of slaying the monster is the fabled katana “Yukihira,” forged by a demon of the Temma clan. To uncover its secrets—and Nue’s true nature—Iska must find their hidden village. But the path is treacherous, and the clock is ticking. Discontinued after three volumes.
