Twinkle

Yuki and Andou share a deep, enduring bond as best friends. Over time, they have developed a playful habit of casually exchanging the words "I love you" without a second thought. For them, these lighthearted declarations are simply part of their daily routine—a comfortable, affectionate joke that underscores their close companionship rather than any hidden romantic intent. Neither has ever questioned the sincerity behind the other's words, treating their exchanges as nothing more than harmless fun between two people who know each other well. However, the familiar dynamic shifts unexpectedly when Andou speaks those same three words with a sudden, undeniable weight of genuine emotion. Instead of delivering the phrase with his usual carefree attitude, he lets true feelings color his voice, transforming a casual joke into something far more vulnerable and sincere. This subtle but profound change catches Yuki entirely off guard, disrupting the easy rhythm of their friendship. Left to process this unexpected shift, Yuki is forced to confront a series of difficult questions. Was Andou's earnest tone merely a fleeting moment, or does it reveal deeper emotions that have been quietly growing beneath the surface of their friendship? As Yuki grapples with the meaning behind Andou's words, the foundation of their relationship stands at a delicate crossroads, leaving Yuki to wonder how—or if—things will ever be the same again.
