Masquerade Lovers

Asakura is a celebrated, award-winning novelist whose public acclaim sharply contrasts with his private reality. Behind closed doors, he leads a deeply unhealthy lifestyle, rarely venturing outside the confines of his home and maintaining an aloof, emotionally guarded demeanor. His solitary existence is suddenly disrupted by the persistent and unwanted attentions of Segawa, another author whose reputation precedes him in entirely different ways. Segawa is a notoriously hedonistic writer, infamous within literary circles for cycling through a new lover every single month without any regard for age or gender. Unfazed by Asakura’s icy disposition, Segawa makes his intentions boldly clear, promising that the reclusive novelist's entire world will change the moment he agrees to become his next romantic partner. What begins as an unwelcome intrusion slowly sets the stage for a compelling dynamic between two men who exist on opposite ends of the emotional spectrum. As Segawa continues his relentless pursuit, the central question emerges: can this unapologetic playboy truly break through Asakura’s carefully constructed walls? The story explores whether genuine affection can thaw the heart of a man who has long preferred isolation over intimacy, turning an unlikely clash of personalities into a captivating romance.
