Winter Flowers

Winter Flowers is a poignant and bittersweet one-shot that explores the enduring bond between two childhood friends. Yuudai was born into a family of fireworks artisans, raised under the careful guidance of his father, who has dedicated his life to the craft. From a young age, Yuudai harbored a singular ambition: to inherit his father's workshop and carry on the family tradition the moment he turns eighteen. Driven by this dream, he made a heartfelt promise to his closest companion, Hana, swearing that she would be the very first person to witness the fireworks he creates with his own hands. As the years pass and the day of his eighteenth birthday draws near, the fulfillment of that childhood vow seems within reach. However, an unsettling shift begins to cloud their shared anticipation. Something is deeply wrong, casting a quiet shadow over the vibrant future Yuudai once envisioned. The story delicately balances the warmth of youthful devotion with an underlying sorrow, leaving the true nature of the looming tragedy hidden just beneath the surface of their cherished memories.
