However, returning to the present brings unexpected heartache. Shinjo has transformed entirely into Kairi, retaining all his memories of their early years together but possessing no recollection of ever being the boy Aira loved. Left reeling from this sudden shift, Aira must grapple with the confusing reality of a partner who is both deeply familiar and fundamentally changed. Yet there is little time to mourn the loss of her boyfriend, as a far greater crisis looms on the horizon. A malevolent comet hurtles through space, bearing down on Earth and threatening catastrophic destruction. Forced to confront both her fractured romance and an impending apocalypse, Aira faces a defining choice. She must decide whether to remain paralyzed by grief over the boy she lost or stand alongside Kairi, combining their strengths to protect the world from total annihilation.
