Nijiiro Tougarashi

Nijiiro Tougarashi unfolds in a world that closely mirrors Earth during the Edo period, though creator Mitsuru Adachi frequently reminds readers throughout the series that this setting is actually a distant planet far into the future. Following the passing of his mother, a young man named Shichimi embarks on a journey to reunite with his step-siblings. They reside together in Karakuri Tenement, a unique home provided by a father none of them have ever met. Upon arriving, Shichimi discovers that while each sibling was born to a different mother—all of whom have now passed away—they share the exact same mysterious father. Shortly after Shichimi joins the household, the siblings resolve to undertake a pilgrimage to visit the graves of their respective mothers. This deeply personal quest quickly transforms into a perilous adventure, as the group faces numerous dangers and unexpected threats along their route. Bound by blood and shared loss, they must rely on one another to survive the treacherous journey ahead.
