The King and Me

When Zhang Li travels to the ancient ruins of Ebiz, he never anticipates returning home with an extraordinary companion—a living man made entirely of stone. Despite the bizarre nature of their meeting, Li quickly grows attached to the animated statue he affectionately calls Rocky. However, their brief time together ends in tragedy when Rocky suddenly crumbles to dust right before Li’s eyes. Overwhelmed by grief and desperately wishing for a miracle, Li is inexplicably transported through time, finding himself standing in the very heart of the Ebiz civilization during its distant past. To his astonishment, Li soon reunites with Rocky, but the man he once knew is no longer a fragile stone figure. Instead, Rocky has been transformed into the powerful reigning king of the nation. Worse still, the monarch possesses absolutely no memory of their previous bond or the affection they shared. Rather than welcoming him, the king views Li as a stranger and a threat, ordering his immediate imprisonment. Now trapped in a hostile ancient kingdom, Li must find a way to escape his confinement and reach the heart of the ruler who has forgotten him, hoping against all odds to reclaim the beloved companion he lost.
