Leave the Sacrifice at the Gate

Uzumaki Nanao was born with a single, inescapable purpose: to serve as a living sacrifice. Raised under the weight of this grim destiny, he is eventually delivered by his own family to the deity destined to consume him. Fully prepared to meet his end and fulfill the role he was groomed for since birth, Nanao anticipates a swift conclusion to his life. However, the encounter takes an entirely unexpected turn when he finally stands before the god meant to devour him. Rather than eagerly accepting the offering, the deity proves to be remarkably indifferent to the ritualistic meal. Far more interested in a quiet, leisurely existence than in consuming sacrificial tributes, the god casually dismantles everything Nanao believed about his predetermined fate. This lack of divine appetite completely derails the young man’s carefully anticipated demise, leaving him stranded in a situation he never could have foreseen. Now faced with a profound existential dilemma, Nanao must grapple with a future he never planned for. Will he desperately attempt to persuade the apathetic god to fulfill its role and eat him, or will he gradually discover that being consumed by a deity can take forms far different from what he originally imagined?
