The Great Wizard Transcendent

Mikhail Walpurgis never believed he was worthy of the title of Hero. When the time came to face the Devil in a prophesied battle, he stepped aside and entrusted the fate of the world to the warrior Siegfried. However, this decision led to catastrophe. Siegfried fell in combat, the allied army was utterly crushed, and the world teetered on the brink of total annihilation. With no options left and the end drawing near, Mikhail unleashed one final, desperate act of magic: he turned back the hands of time itself. Reborn into the past with his memories intact, Mikhail is granted a second chance to claim the heroic mantle he once abandoned and protect those who perished. Yet, his path to salvation is fraught with unexpected obstacles. In this altered timeline, no one believes his dire warnings about the impending war or the prophecy that foretells it. Stripped of his former credibility and facing widespread skepticism, Mikhail must find a way to unite a reluctant world. To prevent history from repeating its tragic course, he must build an army from scratch, convince a doubtful populace of the looming threat, and ensure that this second life finally counts.
