Lever Gacha Archive

Set against the nostalgic backdrop of the 1990s, Lever Gacha Archive follows Yasutaka Etou, an ordinary middle school student whose life revolves around video games and who struggles whenever it comes to interacting with girls. His quiet routine is unexpectedly disrupted when his female classmate, Kaori Kashiwame, suddenly approaches him for help. Rather than seeking advice on schoolwork or romance, Kaori turns to Yasutaka for his expertise in Neo Geo hardware and SNK titles. Her motivation is both surprising and deeply personal: she harbors a secret, unrequited crush on someone who happens to be a devoted fan of these classic arcade games, and she hopes that understanding his passion might bring her closer to him. Drawn into Kaori’s earnest mission, Yasutaka finds himself navigating a heartfelt story where gaming culture becomes the bridge between people. The manga lovingly weaves iconic SNK franchises—including Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, The King of Fighters, Samurai Spirits, and Metal Slug—into its narrative fabric, celebrating the golden era of arcades. Created as part of a special project commemorating SNK's fortieth anniversary, Lever Gacha Archive delivers a charming coming-of-age tale that honors the legacy of legendary fighting and action games while exploring the awkward, endearing connections they inspire.
