A string of gruesome murders has gripped Runa’s neighborhood, targeting a very specific type of victim. Every casualty is an eighteen-year-old woman found completely drained of blood. Most chillingly, each victim shares a distinct physical trait: a scar or birthmark shaped like a crescent moon somewhere on her body. The terror strikes close to home when one of Runa’s own friends, who bears the exact same crescent-shaped birthmark, becomes the latest casualty in this horrifying pattern. After witnessing the aftermath of her friend's murder and narrowly escaping the killer, Runa’s life takes a dark turn. Her chronic headaches, which have long plagued her, suddenly intensify to an unbearable degree. As if marked by the tragedy itself, a vivid red crescent moon birthmark manifests on her forehead. Bearing the very symbol that connects the victims, Runa finds herself thrust into the center of a dangerous mystery. With the murderer still at large and the mark now visible for all to see, a cascade of unsettling incidents begins to follow her, forcing her to confront the terrifying reality closing in around her.
