Polaris no Rakuin

Saeki Subaru presents himself to the world as a devoted widower, pouring all his affection into his young son, Sora. Outwardly, he carries the demeanor of a principled and chivalrous man who strives to uphold righteousness in an unjust society. Beneath this carefully constructed facade, however, lies a starkly different reality: Subaru serves as the trusted right-hand man to a powerful yakuza boss and is secretly involved in a romantic relationship with another man. He navigates these two conflicting lives with precision, determined to shield his child from the darkness of his true profession. Subaru’s meticulously maintained double life begins to shift when he visits Sora’s nursery school and crosses paths with Kousei, a newly appointed teacher. The two men quickly form a close bond, drawn together by an unexpected connection that complicates Subaru’s already tangled existence. Yet, as their relationship deepens, Subaru starts to notice something unsettling beneath Kousei’s welcoming exterior. Lurking within the new teacher’s gaze is a cold, piercing intensity—an icy flame that hints at hidden motives. As Subaru grapples with this chilling realization, he is forced to question whether this growing closeness is genuine affection or the prelude to a far more dangerous entanglement.
