Based on a doujinshi of the same name, Touko-san wa Kaji ga Dekinai follows Akari, a high school student who is sent to live with an old friend of her mother. Before arriving, she has heard countless praises about this woman, Touko, leading her to expect a responsible and hardworking guardian. However, reality quickly shatters those expectations when Akari discovers that the supposedly diligent adult is actually a reckless individual completely clueless about basic housekeeping. Now thrust into a new living situation, Akari finds herself facing an unexpected dilemma. Instead of being cared for by a reliable adult, she must navigate her demanding high school life alongside the world's most incompetent roommate. With Touko unable to manage even the simplest domestic chores, the young girl is forced to step up and handle the household responsibilities herself. As Akari tries to balance her studies and daily routines, she must figure out how to survive and adapt while living with someone who desperately needs guidance in everyday life.
