“The first person to bring me sorrow was someone of my own gender.” For Tsubaki, that painful realization comes at the hands of his classmate, Kaoru. Meanwhile, Koutarou finds himself deeply wounded by the very person he trusts most—his gentle older brother. Despite the emotional scars left behind by these betrayals, neither boy can extinguish the intense yearning and profound devotion burning within their hearts. Bound by complicated attachments, Tsubaki and Koutarou navigate a turbulent landscape of passion, heartache, despair, and sorrow. Their struggles are not fleeting infatuations but consuming experiences that demand everything they have. Loving with both body and soul, they are forced to confront the harsh realities of their desires and the vulnerability that comes with surrendering completely to another person. Dousei Ai chronicles the raw, unfiltered lives of these young men as they grapple with the weight of their emotions. Far from a simple romance, it is an intimate exploration of how love between boys can simultaneously break and define them. Through every moment of anguish and affection, their intertwined stories reveal the beautiful yet devastating truth of giving oneself entirely to someone who holds the power to cause such deep pain.
