The Path of Cultivation

The path of cultivation may seem glamorous, but it is actually a treacherous one, where bitterness is known only to oneself. A young black snake, born in humble circumstances, with no attachments or support, wanders alone in the world, straddling the edge of human society. Having escaped the calamities of life and fire, it struggles to find its way, with the future uncertain. The story is told through a mix of fact and fiction, seven parts truth and three parts invented.
