Kiitarou Shounen no Youkai Enikki

Kiitarou is a young boy gifted with an exceptionally heightened spiritual awareness, making him uniquely attuned to the unseen supernatural world. His life takes a dramatic turn after he wanders into a forbidden storehouse, an incident that results in him being cast out of his family home and forced to find a new place to dwell. Upon relocating, he crosses paths with Suzu, a playful *zashiki warashi* house spirit. Rather than living a quiet life, Kiitarou and Suzu immediately begin drawing a diverse array of folkloric creatures and mystical entities to their new abode. Their unconventional household quickly expands to welcome a *nurikabe*, a mysterious spirit that manifests as a traveling wall to block pedestrians, and *mokumokuren*, eerie eyes peering through the tears of a paper partition. As an ever-growing assembly of supernatural beings gathers around them, Kiitarou navigates his daily existence alongside these legendary apparitions. This ongoing visual diary chronicles his extraordinary encounters, leaving readers to wonder which strange and fascinating denizen of Japanese folklore will cross his path next.
