Hearing When Touched

Transfer student Satori Osanaga possesses a supernatural ability she considers a curse rather than a gift: whenever she touches someone, she can hear their thoughts. Desperate to avoid all physical contact, she prays for solitude at a local shrine, only to be caught standing defenseless in the rain. A passing classmate, Sou Izumisawa, offers her his umbrella, marking the beginning of an unexpected connection. At school, Satori’s eccentric appearance and withdrawn demeanor alienate her peers, yet Sou continues to treat her with genuine kindness, causing her to fall deeply in love with him. This affection triggers a devastating consequence, as Satori’s painful power unexpectedly transfers to Sou. Overwhelmed by the constant stream of strangers' inner voices, he is shattered most of all upon hearing the thoughts of his crush, Mio Yuikawa, and discovering she is in love with his close friend Takumi Shirase. Crushed by the burden of perceiving the hidden hearts of others, Sou despairs until Satori reveals the origins of the curse and offers a desperate solution. If Sou can make her stop loving him, the ability will vanish. To achieve this, he must first find a way to win Mio's heart in return.
