Toukaido HISAME

Bound by a solemn vow never to part from his childhood friend Hisame, Itsuki sets out alongside him on a journey across the Tokaido road in pursuit of new adventures. As they travel this historic route, the pair takes on the dangerous task of exterminating youkai, relying heavily on one another's strengths to survive and complete their missions. Their partnership is forged in battle, demanding absolute trust as they face supernatural threats together. Despite their shared battles, the dynamic between the two companions is deeply complicated. Itsuki harbors a dark, mischievous streak, yet beneath this rough exterior lies an intense, unrequited love for Hisame. He constantly maneuvers to express his feelings, but his efforts are continually thwarted by Hisame's remarkably naive nature. Innocent and oblivious, Hisame simply cannot bring himself to take Itsuki's romantic advances seriously, dismissing them as mere eccentricities rather than genuine affection. This stark contrast between Itsuki’s cunning devotion and Hisame’s innocent ignorance forms the emotional core of their journey. As they continue down the Tokaido road, slaying monsters and navigating their complex bond, a lingering question remains: will Itsuki’s persistent attempts to win Hisame’s heart ultimately s쳮d, or are his feelings destined to remain forever unreciprocated?
