Takami-san of the Heights

After leaving behind a long career as a high school teacher, Arai has recently started over at a window-cleaning company. Having finally been assigned to his first high-rise project, he is paired with his new mentor, Takami. Despite being his senior colleague within the company, she is actually younger than him, creating an unusual dynamic from the very beginning. Arai harbors a deep-seated fear of heights, making the prospect of working on a suspended gondola far above the city streets incredibly daunting. Yet, as they ascend together into the sky, his anxiety takes an unexpected turn. Guided by Takami’s reassuring words and actions, Arai finds that his heart is racing for an entirely different reason. What begins as a terrifying professional challenge quickly transforms into something far more personal, leaving him wondering if this newfound connection might just make him look forward to returning to work tomorrow.
