The Benevolent Demon Xiong

Xiong considers himself a good-hearted demon. His first principle in creating the realm of the dead is to do good deeds and be a benevolent spirit. For instance, when Emperor Taizong of the Tang returned to the realm of the dead, Xiong summoned Li Jiancheng, Li Yuanchang, and Li Chengqian to welcome him. Another example is when Wu Zetian visited the realm of the dead, Xiong summoned her beloved son Li Xian to greet her. Similarly, at the beginning of the story, Xiong personally escorted Zhu Di to the underworld to reunite with his good friend.
