Osananajimi kara no Renai Soudan. Aite wa Oreppoi kedo Chigaurashii

Tonomura Ryuunosuke and his childhood friend, Hinagata Shiori, have barely spoken to each other lately. So when she suddenly asks him to wait for her after class, his mind immediately jumps to the worst possible conclusion—perhaps a confession is on the horizon. Instead, Shiori drops an entirely different bombshell: she has found someone she likes. Having never had a girlfriend himself, Ryuunosuke is bewildered to discover that he has somehow been chosen as her romantic confidant. Though he suspects she has approached the wrong person for relationship advice, he reluctantly agrees to hear her out about this mysterious boy. However, as Shiori begins listing the qualities of her crush, Ryuunosuke’s confusion slowly turns into suspicion. The guy she describes is handsome, kind, and always by her side. They attend the same school, making it easy for her to talk to him whenever she wants. Strangely, she doesn’t have his contact information or even the slightest clue how to get it. Most tellingly, she admits she has liked him for as long as she can remember. With every detail she reveals, Ryuunosuke starts to wonder if the boy she is describing might actually be him. Set during the summer of their second year of high school, this story follows two socially awkward childhood friends navigating their unspoken feelings. What unfolds is a sweet yet deeply frustrating tale of young love, where the hardest part is realizing who was standing right in front of you all along.
