Aoi is an ordinary salaryman who struggles to navigate the complexities of human interaction. His quiet, solitary routine takes an unexpected turn one night when he wanders into a local park and encounters a peculiar stranger named Q, who is fervently chasing a butterfly through the darkness. This chance meeting quickly reveals a startling truth: Q is not from Earth, but rather an extraterrestrial visitor who has traveled across the cosmos with a singular mission to collect various creatures from the planet. Fascinated by the diverse wildlife Earth has to offer, Q begins examining the planet's animals alongside Aoi. As the two observe the natural world together, their conversations inevitably drift toward the intricacies of human emotion.
