Her situation begins to change when she befriends a fellow student named Aruna, who steps in to help shield her from unwanted scrutiny and keep her out of trouble. As the two girls grow closer, their bond deepens into a meaningful friendship that offers Sierra a glimpse of the ordinary life she was sent to experience. However, the peaceful school days they share are built on fragile ground.
