Hangyaku no Soul Eater

Entrusted by the emperor himself, the Mitsurugi household bears the sacred duty of guarding the demon gate. At the heart of this legacy stands Sora Mitsurugi, the family’s heir, who is called upon to undergo a grueling trial ceremony at the age of thirteen. Success in this rite of passage is essential, as it is the only way for him to master the phantom blade style—a formidable martial art passed down through the Mitsurugi bloodline for generations. The pressure on Sora intensifies as seven other pupils his age have already undertaken and conquered the same trial without failure. Now, he remains the final candidate left to prove his worth. Under the solemn watch of those closest to him—his father, his older brother, his fiancée, and a pair of siblings who have long looked after him—Sora steps forward into his defining moment. As the ceremony officially begins, he must confront his deepest challenges alone, fighting not only to inherit his family's ancient techniques but also to honor the expectations of everyone who believes in him.
