Kouishou Radio

Across cultures and centuries, hair has served as a profound symbol of human emotion and spiritual devotion. From offering a carefully cut lock to a beloved as a token of affection to shaving one’s head entirely as an act of deep penitence, it carries an undeniable weight in traditions worldwide. This universal significance forms the thematic foundation of Kouishou Radio, a chilling horror anthology that weaves its unsettling narratives together through the shared motif of hair. The collection follows the harrowing experiences of those who fall victim to Ogushi-sama, a sinister deity whose terrifying purpose is to carry away the dead. Bound by this dark mythology, each story explores the dread faced by individuals entangled with this malevolent god. As the anthology unfolds, the seemingly ordinary nature of hair transforms into a conduit for supernatural terror, linking disparate victims through their encounters with the entity. The result is a deeply atmospheric exploration of folklore and fear, where every strand tells a story of impending doom and otherworldly judgment.
