Nekota no Koto ga Ki ni Natte Shikatanai.

Amane Mikiko, affectionately called Mikki, is an elementary school student whose life has been defined by constant relocation. Because her family moves so frequently, she is forced to transfer schools again and again, enduring the painful cycle of forming new friendships only to tearfully say goodbye shortly after. Exhausted by the emotional toll of these repeated departures, Mikki makes a firm resolution upon arriving at her latest school: she will not allow herself to get close to anyone this time. However, her carefully guarded plan begins to unravel almost immediately, largely due to one highly unusual classmate. She crosses paths with a boy named Nekota, who inexplicably appears to have the head of a cat. To Mikki's utter bewilderment, she soon discovers a startling truth—this bizarre feline appearance is entirely exclusive to her own perspective, as no one else seems to notice anything strange about him. This peculiar phenomenon draws Mikki into an unexpected dynamic with Nekota, challenging her determination to remain isolated. As she navigates the confusing reality of seeing him differently than everyone else does, she finds herself increasingly intrigued by the cat-headed boy, making it nearly impossible to keep the emotional distance she swore to maintain.
