Eager to experience true independence, Meguru Watami begs his mother for the chance to move out and live on his own. After much persistence, she finally relents, allowing him to rent a room for the summer. However, her agreement comes with a twisted catch befitting her sadistic nature: the partition separating his new living space from the adjacent room is made entirely of glass. This bizarre architectural choice strips away any semblance of privacy, forcing Meguru into an uncomfortably transparent coexistence with whoever lives next door. As if sharing such an exposed space with a complete stranger were not already overwhelming, Meguru soon discovers that his neighbor is Kana, an attractive girl his own age. Rather than sparking a pleasant summer romance, their initial encounter immediately goes awry, leaving them off to a rocky start. Forced to navigate daily life without walls or boundaries, Meguru quickly realizes that this unconventional living arrangement is nothing like the liberating independent experience he had envisioned.
