A Certain Scientific Accelerator

In a world where the boundaries between mysticism and science have blurred, extraordinary abilities are born from two distinct sources: rigorous scientific research and deep-rooted religious faith. At the center of this delicate balance lies Academy City, a sprawling, technologically advanced metropolis populated almost entirely by students. This unique urban environment serves as both an educational hub and a massive laboratory for human potential. The vast majority of these young residents are enrolled in the city’s renowned Power Curriculum Program, a specialized educational initiative designed to awaken and refine latent psychic abilities. Through intense study and training, students learn to harness and master their supernatural gifts, transforming ordinary individuals into powerful espers. This systematic approach to developing superhuman capabilities forms the foundation of Academy City's society, creating a complex hierarchy based on the strength and utility of each student's awakened powers.
