Howlring

Seoul lies in ruins, ravaged by the Howling Plague—a mysterious affliction that twists ordinary humans into monstrous beasts. Amid the devastation, an unusually perceptive boy named Rir fights daily to survive while caring for his ailing younger sibling, the last remaining member of his family. Their fragile existence shatters when a sudden crisis erupts at the hospital where they are staying. Driven by desperation to protect the only person he has left, Rir is thrust into a harrowing transformation that alters him permanently. Caught between humanity and monstrosity, Rir awakens as something neither fully human nor entirely beast. Now burdened with the very nature of the plague that destroyed their world, he must confront the terrifying reality of what he has become. Yet rather than surrendering to despair, he channels his anguish into unwavering resolve. Clinging to his final shred of purpose, Rir makes a solemn vow: "I'll bring you back. No matter what. Even if I have to become a beast myself." Armed with newfound abilities and relentless determination, he steps into the chaos to reclaim what was lost.
