Bougo no Grey

Three years have passed since the end of the war, yet the former volunteers who fought in it remain unable to reclaim their ordinary lives. Among them is Ef, a young woman once feared across the battlefields and known by the dreaded moniker "Assassin of Adenzi." Despite her lethal reputation, she now drifts through her days in quiet isolation, burdened by a past defined by violence and left with absolutely nowhere to belong. The world has moved forward, but she remains trapped in the lingering shadows of the conflict. Her solitary existence shifts when a mysterious missionary unexpectedly reaches out to her. Though the stranger's gaze carries an unsettling quality that hints at hidden depths, it is simultaneously filled with a profound, disarming warmth. Rather than recoiling from the infamous assassin, this enigmatic figure offers something Ef has never experienced: genuine compassion. With a gentle yet resolute vow—"I will make you happy. I promise..."—the missionary extends a lifeline into an uncertain future. This unexpected encounter sets the stage for a deeply personal journey, challenging the hardened soldier to confront her trauma and discover whether redemption and peace are truly possible after so much bloodshed.
