Yuujin Character wa Taihen desu ka?

My initial impression of Ryuuga Hinomori was that he possessed all the classic traits of an anime protagonist—a suspicion that quickly hardened into absolute certainty. True to form, he remains tight-lipped about his past and frequently vanishes from class. Whenever he returns, he is visibly exhausted, sporting torn uniform cuffs and bleeding from the lips. To complete the archetype, he is constantly surrounded by stunning girls: Shiori Yukimiya, the school idol; Rei Aogasaki, a stoic and skilled swordswoman; and Elmira McCartney, a mysterious transfer student. For Ichirou Kobayashi, however, having a protagonist for a best friend is exhausting work. Whenever these remarkable young women approach Ryuuga, Ichirou feels compelled to play his part, frantically making a fuss and demanding explanations for their sudden attention. Yet he performs this role willingly, driven by his true calling: Ichirou is a professional sidekick. Dedicated to supporting the ultimate protagonist from the sidelines, he is ready to embrace the chaos and let the curtains rise on a romantic comedy co-starring the ultimate loyal best friend.
