Der Werwolf - The Annals of Veight ~Origins~

Reborn into a world of magic and monsters, Veight now exists as a werewolf mage serving as the Vice-Commander of the Demon Lord's third regiment. His latest military assignment appears straightforward on the surface: seize control of a remote commercial city and hold it for the demon forces. However, what begins as a routine conquest quickly evolves into a complex political challenge, as the fragile coexistence between humans and demonfolk breeds constant unrest and deep-seated hostility. The inherent friction between the two races threatens to tear the newly occupied territory apart. Endless conflicts erupt in the streets, turning a simple garrison duty into a delicate balancing act that brute force alone cannot resolve. As someone who once lived as a human himself, Veight possesses a rare and invaluable perspective. He understands the fears, motivations, and customs of both sides far better than any pure-blooded demon or ordinary mortal ever could. To prevent the region from descending into total chaos, Veight must rely on this unique dual insight. By forging a careful working relationship with the human viceroy, he navigates treacherous diplomatic waters, striving to bridge the divide between species. Maintaining order in a city teetering on the edge of rebellion will require all his tactical skill, magical prowess, and profound empathy.
