Manga Shin-Shirakawa Genjin: Uupa!

After dedicating three decades of his life to the demanding profession of a manga artist, Shin Morimura makes the radical decision to leave modern society behind and embrace a life in the wilderness. This autobiographical manga chronicles his extraordinary journey as he steps away from his drawing desk to pursue a raw, primitive existence deep within the woods. Driven by a desire for a complete change of pace, Morimura trades the familiar comforts of civilization for the unpredictable challenges of nature. However, surviving in the forest proves to be far more grueling than he ever anticipated. Stripped of urban conveniences, he is forced to confront every fundamental aspect of survival on his own. From the exhausting physical labor of constructing a shelter with his own hands to the constant, pressing struggle of securing enough food to sustain himself, a relentless series of difficulties stands in his way. Each day presents new obstacles that test his endurance, resourcefulness, and resolve. Through this deeply personal account, the story captures the harsh yet compelling reality of a man attempting to rebuild his life from the ground up, facing the untamed wild after thirty years of creating art.
