Tokyo Boy Meets Country

Chiaki, a pampered young man accustomed to city life, is summoned by his grandfather under the promise of an important assignment. Expecting something grand, he travels to Tokachi in Hokkaido, only to discover that his so-called big project is nothing more than working on a sprawling cattle farm. Far from the urban comforts he knows, Chiaki finds himself stranded in the rural countryside. To teach his spoiled grandson some much-needed maturity and independence, his grandfather issues a strict ultimatum: Chiaki must earn enough money through his own labor to pay for his flight back home. Left feeling hopeless and entirely out of his element, Chiaki’s situation takes another unexpected turn when he meets Soichiro, an exceptionally tall local. The encounter quickly becomes complicated, as Soichiro was operating under a completely different assumption. He had been led to believe that the person arriving to stay with him would be a young woman sent to undergo traditional bridal training. Now, instead of the bride he anticipated, Soichiro is faced with a bewildered city boy who has no idea how to survive in the country, setting the stage for an awkward and unlikely living arrangement.
