From Yesterday

From Yesterday is a curated collection of vignettes crafted over several years, weaving together interconnected narratives and standalone stories. In the central arc, Ryuuichi Akane becomes an assistant to Professor Akira Hasumi out of deep admiration for his artwork, though his true feelings extend far beyond professional respect into genuine love. This narrative thread shares its universe with a sequel set in an alternate setting. Elsewhere, Hikari struggles with a body that naturally generates electricity, preventing him from touching metal and forcing his childhood friend, Ten, to constantly watch over him. Another story follows Keiichi Asashi, a middle school doctor whose innocent student, Yuu Ichikawa, harbors romantic designs on him—a dynamic revisited a decade later when Yuu has finally grown up. The remaining chapters offer intimate glimpses into complex relationships. Touri navigates life with his lover Seiji, who has lived with him for two years yet inexplicably vanishes for entire months at a time. Finally, on a quiet rainy day, bookstore owner Fuku Yamamoto shares his umbrella with Kairi Toya, a beautiful high school student, sparking a gentle encounter. Together, these tales explore devotion, vulnerability, and the quiet moments that define human connection.
