Snow in the Dark

Snow in the Dark is a manga anthology comprising four distinct one-shot stories. The first, MP0, serves as an early prototype of Mx0; while the character names and certain details differ from the later work, the core narrative remains identical. The second story, She Monkey, follows a young boy who journeys to a deserted island in search of his missing father. Upon arrival, he encounters a girl possessing extraordinary physical strength who immediately embraces him. He soon discovers that she is actually a monkey sharing human genetics, making her nearly indistinguishable from a person. The titular third story offers a dark reimagining of the classic Snow White fairy tale. It centers on Larry, a child enduring a bleak existence in a land plagued by sorrow and disease. His fate changes when Princess Snow White rescues him from his grim reality. Grateful for her salvation, Larry joins her royal guard, dedicating his entire life to protecting the princess at all costs. The collection concludes with a fourth one-shot titled Kirino Sako to Nakamatachi, featuring a story written by Nikohara Daisuke.
