Cover Up

Tattoo artist Geum-hwa has finally escaped the suffocating grip of a deeply abusive and controlling relationship. Seeking a fresh start far from his painful past, he accepts an overseas commission and travels to Japan to work for an enigmatic new client. Upon arrival, he discovers that the man who hired him is Ryusei Katamoto, a striking half-Korean heir to a powerful yakuza family. The task at hand is both intimate and challenging: Geum-hwa must design and execute a full cover-up tattoo to conceal a massive burn scar across Ryusei’s back. As the meticulous work progresses, a quiet but undeniable curiosity begins to form between the two men, hinting at the potential for something deeper than a simple professional arrangement. However, the shadows of Geum-hwa’s former life refuse to fade quietly. His obsessive ex-partner remains dangerously fixated on him and is far from willing to let go, threatening to disrupt this fragile new beginning. With old wounds still raw and external dangers closing in, both men must navigate their growing connection while confronting the lingering scars of the past, leaving them to wonder if a newfound bond can truly offer the healing they both desperately need.
